Tree removal in Anaheim, taken down in sections, hauled the same day
Sunny Gardening Service removes dead, dangerous and unwanted trees across Anaheim and nearby cities. Our tree service crew brings the saws, ropes and chipper, drops the tree in controlled sections, and leaves the yard raked clean. Call (714) 584-9358 for a free on-site estimate.

When an Anaheim tree should come out
- It is dead or mostly dead. A dead tree only gets more brittle, and the Santa Ana winds will eventually take it apart over whatever sits under it.
- It is leaning or cracked. New lean after a storm, soil lifting at the base, or a split trunk are all reasons to call this week, not this year.
- Roots are winning. Ficus and other aggressive roots lifting driveways, patios and sewer lines around older Anaheim and Fullerton streets often cost more than the tree is worth.
- Wrong tree, wrong place. Planted too close to the house or pool decades ago, and now every year means more trimming. Removal plus a smarter tree elsewhere ends the cycle. Our tree planting side handles the replacement.
How we remove a tree
- Walk it first. We check what is under and around the tree: roof lines, fences, pool, wires. That decides rope work versus straight felling.
- Down in sections. Limbs first, then the trunk in pieces, lowered where they cannot be dropped. Tight side yards in Anaheim Hills and zero-lot-line homes are normal for us.
- Chip and haul the same day. Brush goes through the chipper, wood is hauled, the lawn is raked. Nothing sits at the curb.
- Grind the stump if you want the spot back. Stump grinding clears it for sod, planting or concrete.
Removals from Anaheim Hills slopes to The Colony's old canopies
We take down wind-broken pines above Nohl Ranch, overgrown ficus in West Anaheim yards, and storm-damaged eucalyptus out toward Yorba Linda and Placentia. If the tree just needs weight off instead of removal, we will say so; tree trimming is usually cheaper than taking a healthy tree out.

Tree removal questions we get in Anaheim
What does it cost to remove a tree in Anaheim?
Size, condition and access set the price. A small front-yard tree is a short job; a tall dead tree between two houses takes rigging and time. We come look, explain how we would take it down, and give you a firm number. The estimate is free.
When is the cheapest time for tree removal?
Winter tends to be slower in the tree world, so scheduling is easier and pricing is friendlier. A dead or leaning tree over a house should not wait for a season though; that risk grows with every wind event.
Does removal include the stump?
Removal brings the tree down to a low stump. Stump grinding is quoted with it if you want the spot cleared for sod, concrete or replanting. Most customers bundle both.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree on my property in Anaheim?
For most private residential trees, no. Trees in the city parkway are the City of Anaheim's and cannot be removed by homeowners. If a tree looks like a special case, we tell you before any work starts.
