The older flat neighborhoods still run original galvanized and early PVC systems that fail a zone at a time. I’m so glad we finally found Sunny. We were looking for an all-in-one groundskeeper for: large palm, banana, and ficus trees, hedges, sprinkler system, weeds, and mowing. It depends on the part and the digging. A broken head is a fast, cheap fix. A stuck valve, a controller swap or a crushed line under the lawn takes more time. We run the system, show you what is wrong, and give you the price before we start. The estimate is free.
Usually a valve. Each zone has its own valve, and when the solenoid or diaphragm fails, that zone stops while the rest run fine. We test the valve electrically and hydraulically and replace just what failed.
That is the classic hidden leak: a cracked lateral line or a valve weeping constantly underground. In Anaheim's clay soil the water travels before it surfaces, so the wet spot is rarely over the leak. Finding it is exactly the kind of work we do.
