Gardener and tree crew for Peralta Hills, minutes from our own base in Anaheim Hills
Sunny Gardening Service keeps the one-acre estates of Peralta Hills in Anaheim: weekly upkeep near the house, mature oaks and eucalyptus thinned before the winds, slopes cleared before fire season, and big irrigation systems kept running. Our base is on the Anaheim Hills side of Anaheim, so Peralta Hills is one of the shortest drives we make. Call (714) 584-9358 for a free estimate.

What yards are like in Peralta Hills
One acre minimum, by rule.
Peralta Hills was annexed to Anaheim in 1960 with estate zoning that holds lots to a one-acre minimum, and the residents have kept it that way. Many parcels run past two acres. That is a lot of ground for one gardener to keep, which is why the whole crew comes.
No streetlights, curbs or gutters.
The neighborhood kept its rural streets on purpose. There is no curb to pile green waste on and no city parkway, so every tree and every hedge along the road is the owner's.
Houses since the 1920s, trees even older.
Scattered homes stood here before Anaheim Hills was built in the 1970s, and the oaks and eucalyptus on the old parcels have had the longest to grow. Pruning them is careful work, not a hack job.
Long drives and slopes in wind country.
Gated drives wind up past the trees to the house, and the back of the lot usually drops into a slope that faces the canyon winds. Clearing that slope before fire season is the job that matters most here.
What we do on Peralta Hills estates
Tree trimming on mature oaks and eucalyptus. Deadwood out, crowns thinned so the wind passes through, limbs kept off the roof and the drive. Real pruning cuts at the collar; we do not top trees.
Slope and brush clearing. The back acre cut down and hauled before fire season, and again after the Santa Ana winds drop what they drop.
Scheduled maintenance near the house. Lawn, hedges, beds and the drive edges kept on a weekly visit, so the part of the property you see every day stays sharp.
Sprinkler repair and drip on slopes. Acre systems run many zones and long lines; slopes on clay need short repeated cycles or drip. We run every zone and fix what is down.
Low-water beds where lawn makes no sense. Agave, gravel and drip on the ground that was never going to be lawn, and the Anaheim Public Utilities rebate when the yard qualifies.
Getting there from our base
Santa Ana Canyon Road to Peralta Hills Drive, under ten minutes from where our trucks start the day. Nohl Ranch Road runs along the south edge of the neighborhood, so Peralta Hills sits between our home base and our Villa Park and Orange Park Acres customers, and it shares a route day with them.

How often does an acre lot in Peralta Hills need a visit?
The lawn and the beds near the house run weekly like any Anaheim Hills yard. The back acre, slopes and tree line are seasonal: a clearing before fire season, tree thinning in late fall, and a cleanup after the winds. We put both on one plan so nothing gets away.
Can you prune the old oaks without hurting them?
Yes, and carefully. Oaks take deadwood removal and light thinning, never topping and never heavy cuts in the wrong season. We make real pruning cuts at the branch collar and leave the tree's shape alone.
There is no curb on my street. Where does the debris go?
On our truck, the same day. Peralta Hills has no curbs or gutters, so there is nowhere to pile green waste anyway. Branches are chipped on site and hauled.
